ELEMENTS can help you sort through the maze. We can assess your home's health, durability and energy efficiency and provide a road-map of improvements. An energy assessment is a service that helps and identifies, accurately and reliably, a home's energy consumption, level of comfort and health deficiencies.

All Energy projects as any remodel or addition projects are based on YOUR budget and YOUR final goals; therefore ELEMENTS has 2 different Home Energy Assessment Levels.


CONSULTING Home Energy Assessment (Walk-through - No diagnostic testing)
For a better understanding of your home energy consumption and:
You are planning to do some minor work by yourself
  • Consultation with the client to assess their needs and goals
  • Assess the energy usage and set a baseline from past energy bills
  • Discover areas for possible savings
  • Visual inspection of the building envelope (walls, windows, doors, insulation, and ducts)
  • Visual inspection of mechanical equipment, lights and fixtures
  • Visible moisture, and possible health and safety problems
  • Home Energy Assessment Report (3 pages): Included
  • Average Time: 1-2 hour (on site)



UPGRADE Home Energy Assessment
(Walk-through and diagnostic testing & Procedure Required by PGE for the Energy Upgrade California Rebate)
For a completely understanding of your home energy consumption and:
You are planning to do some major work by a specialized and qualified Contractor

  • Consultation with the client to assess their needs and goals
  • Assess the energy usage and set a baseline from past energy bills
  • Discover areas for possible savings
  • Visual inspection of the building envelope (walls, windows, doors, and insulation)
  • Visual inspection of mechanical equipment, lights and fixtures
  • Visible moisture, and possible health and safety problems
  • Blower Door Test
  • Duct Blaster Test
  • Infrared Camera Test
  • Combustion Safety Test
  • PG&E 55 checklist points for the Energy Upgrade California Rebate
  • Average Time: 10-15 hour (on site & office)
  • Home Energy Assessment Report
The Process:
  • Test IN – In home consultation and diagnostics to your home energy baseline
  • Implementation – Introduce to the construction Company to perform the energy retrofit.
  • Test OUT – Test and benchmark against the previous (Test IN) home energy baseline evaluation to measure the different and determine the potential rebate.
